Act on Data.
NASA-derived laser spectrometry on autonomous drones, detecting, quantifying, and attributing fugitive methane for compliance mandates across North America, the EU, and internationally.
Four Reasons Engineers Trust Our Data
Independent field validation, published methodology, and ongoing third-party assessment the data behind the claim.
Controlled Methane release study conducted by a team from Xavier University at the Petrolia landfill in Ontario. May 2025.
Alberta Methane Field Challenge 2019: the largest concurrent field trial of methane detection technologies at operating oil and gas sites. Aerometrix Inc. participated as a technology provider (Report 19-AMFC-08, PTAC 2021).
Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectroscopy tracing lineage to NASA orbital atmospheric sensing instruments. Same physics, facility scale.

Built for Your Operating Reality
Two sectors. One platform. Select yours to expand.
Turn fugitive methane into a revenue line. Cell-level CH₄ flux surveys quantify landfill gas escape and power RNG capture optimisation while satisfying the three-times-yearly seasonal monitoring mandate.
- Cell-level CH₄ flux mapping for RNG capture gap analysis
- Seasonal survey scheduling (3× / year)
- LFG collection efficiency benchmarking
Equipment-level attribution delivers the audit-defensible data required for OGMP 2.0 Level 5 reconciliation, investor disclosure, and dual-jurisdiction regulatory reporting in a single survey program.
- OGMP 2.0 Level 5 measurement-based reporting support
- ESG disclosure: scope 1 fugitive emissions by asset
- Methane intensity benchmarking vs. sector medians
Cell-level CH₄ flux maps identify exactly where your LFG collection system is underperforming. Capital repair decisions become data-driven rather than guessed.
Three mandatory seasonal surveys per year, formatted for ECCC submission. Q1/Q2/Q3 coordinated and delivered before deadlines.
Supporting data package with emissions quantification integrated into your annual GHG report workflow.
GPS-stamped emission sources ranked by rate. Your maintenance team gets a prioritised repair list, not a PDF of plume images.
Before-and-after survey data quantifies the impact of collection system improvements, supporting capital allocation decisions and carbon credit accounting.
Source-level quantification data required for Level 5 reconciliation under the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership framework.
Investor-grade scope 1 fugitive emission data for investor and ESG reporting. Audit-defensible without additional processing.
Single survey program covers ECCC (Canada), EPA (US), plus EU export equivalency for operators supplying European markets.
Timestamped before/after quantification confirms repair effectiveness and provides the audit trail required under ECCC, EPA, and EU OGMP frameworks.
Founded on Decades of Field Proven Science
Aerometrix Inc. was founded in 2019, growing out of decades of pioneering research in laser-based optical spectrometry for greenhouse-gas measurement. Our laser column sensor and advanced processing software integrate seamlessly with autonomous drone platforms to deliver high-precision aerial gas detection and quantification.
Early funding from Geoscience BC and the National Research Council Canada allowed us to turn core innovations into field-ready emissions survey services. We are headquartered in Mesa, Arizona, with a Canadian branch in Victoria, BC.
We have executed projects across landfills, oil refineries, dairy farms, and natural-gas facilities, with technology and methods validated in the AMFC 2019, METEC controlled-release studies, and SIMFLEX by Fluxlab 2024 and 2025.
"To provide actionable intelligence that empowers clients to effectively reduce their methane emissions, enhance safety, optimize operations, and contribute to environmental sustainability."
The People Behind the Data
With over 28 years in Oil & Gas project engineering and management with major international energy conglomerates, Omar leads Aerometrix's strategy and client programs. He oversees the engineering and delivery of complex emissions survey programs for operators in the oil and gas and waste management industries, ensuring every project meets the highest technical and regulatory standards.
The breadth of industries seeking emissions mitigation has shaped his conviction that innovation and accountability go hand in hand. His operating principle: learn something new from every project, and use it to push methane detection forward.
Abanob is a Geomatics Engineer with deep expertise in advanced image processing and AI-driven data analysis. He architected Aerometrix's core data pipeline, transforming raw drone sensor streams into the georeferenced, regulator-ready deliverables that clients receive through AeroPortal.
His expertise spans programming, data pipeline optimisation, and workflow engineering across demanding field environments. Recognised by colleagues and leadership for delivering efficient and innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
How We Compare
Evaluate Aerometrix against traditional SEM ground-based methods. All the data in one place.
From Survey to Signed Report
Three steps. One integrated program. Everything your regulator, auditor, and board needs. Nothing your competitors need to see.
Autonomous drone deployment across your facility. Coordinated scheduling, pre-survey regulatory scoping, and safety briefing included. Our AeroOnboard™ system collects and aligns all sensor streams in real time.
- ◆Pre-survey site assessment
- ◆Equipment inventory confirmation
- ◆Calibration documentation
Laser spectrometry sweeps the facility. Each emission source is located, quantified in g/hr, and attributed to a specific component with GPS precision. Our AeroObserver™ gives pilots real-time methane levels and mapped exceedances during flight.
- ◆Component-level attribution
- ◆Georeferenced plume mapping
- ◆Real-time onboard data logging
Raw survey data flows through AeroPipeline™ into GIS-ready, regulator-formatted deliverables. Your complete results, including interactive maps, hotspot tags, and trend comparisons, appear in your secure AeroPortal™ client workspace within minutes directly to client servers.
- ◆Jurisdiction-formatted report
- ◆Prioritised repair action list
- ◆Secure portal delivery
- ◆Client servers
Every Aerometrix report delivers the same structured output auditor-ready, regulator-ready, and board-ready.
Representative sample. Field data. Full reports include complete component inventory, plume maps, QA/QC certificates, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory tables.
Survey reports, GIS data, 2D orthophotos and 3D photogrammetry, all in your private AeroPortal™ workspace. Compare methane trends across campaigns, drill into hotspots, export what you need.
